One of the shortest walks of any drop-off: about 8 minutes to King Abdulaziz Gate, beside the Clock Tower. Direct, though busy at prayer times.
Jarwal Station
A medium walk of about 12 minutes, approaching from the Jabal al-Kaaba and Jarwal side rather than the Clock Tower side: longer than the southern drop-offs, shorter than Ghazza Parking.
Jabal Omar Lifts
A short indoor connection rather than a street walk: lifts and internal walkways to the Haram, out of the sun and away from traffic - the least exposed final stretch of any drop-off.
Ghazza Parking
A longer walk than the station drop-offs, around 17 minutes. The nearest approach is towards Safa; the Clock Tower and King Abdulaziz Gate side is longer again.
Maskhoutah Station
The longest walk of any drop-off: about 2.5 km, roughly 40 minutes on foot through the Kudai-Ajyad corridor to King Abdulaziz Gate.
Ajyad Street
Surface streets rather than a tunnel, so the ride is traffic-dependent: short in distance, but slower than the tunnel routes at prayer times and in Ramadan.
Al-Kidwah Tunnel

Short, tunnelled ride from the Masfalah side - closer in than the eastern tunnels and less exposed to street traffic than the road routes.
Kudai Tunnel
Direct tunnel from the Kudai and Ajyad side, shielded from street traffic for most of the way, so the ride stays close to the same figure at any time of day.
Al-Khandama Road
Surface road rather than a tunnel: the ride depends on traffic and local access restrictions, so it varies through the day far more than the tunnel routes.
Jabal Omar Complex Route
No public roads: the shuttle runs inside the Jabal Omar complex to a Haram-facing drop-off, then lifts and covered walkways down to street level. Time barely changes at prayer times.
Aziziah Road
Main roads the whole way from Aziziah: the most traffic-exposed of the routes, and the most likely to run to the top of its journey-time range at prayer times.
