Dhigufaru Island Resort

We spent an absolutely perfect week in an idyllic setting. This was our fourth trip to the Maldives, and we particularly appreciated this intimate resort, which offers everything one could expect from a Maldivian hotel, with all the necessary comforts.

The staff is professional, attentive, and always available. We truly felt like we were in a cocoon. We stayed in a Beach Villa with a pool, while our children also enjoyed an overwater villa with a pool: both experiences lived up to our expectations, simply perfect.

Some negative reviews seem regrettable, even damaging, to me, because the services offered are perfectly in line with the price. If we focus only on a few minor details, we might be forgetting the essentials: we come to the Maldives to enjoy the sun, the sea, the fish, and this exceptional scenery.

The only small point that could still be improved concerns the food. The food is good, but a little more variety and a few extra touches could really make it better.

Nous avons passé une semaine absolument parfaite dans un cadre idyllique. C’était notre quatrième séjour aux Maldives et nous avons particulièrement apprécié cet établissement à taille humaine, qui offre tout ce que l’on peut attendre d’un hôtel maldivien, avec tout le confort nécessaire.

Le personnel est professionnel, attentionné et toujours à l’écoute. Nous avions réellement l’impression d’être dans un cocon. Nous avons séjourné dans une Beach Villa avec piscine, tandis que nos enfants ont également pu profiter d’une villa sur pilotis avec piscine : les deux expériences ont été à la hauteur de nos attentes, tout simplement parfaites.

Certains avis négatifs me paraissent regrettables, voire dommageables, car les prestations proposées sont parfaitement cohérentes avec le tarif. Si l’on s’attarde uniquement sur quelques petits détails, c’est peut-être que l’on oublie l’essentiel : nous venons aux Maldives pour profiter du soleil, de la mer, des poissons et de ce décor exceptionnel.

Le seul petit point qui pourrait encore être amélioré concerne la restauration. La nourriture est bonne, mais un peu plus de variété et quelques petites attentions supplémentaires pourraient véritable

We were initially concerned because of some negative Google reviews, but our experience was the complete opposite - very positive overall.
• Very good food. We would have liked clearer themed nights, but there was a wide variety of international cuisine.
• Excellent snorkelling, especially at the reef near the water pool villas. Strong currents, so snorkelling as a pair with vests is recommended. One of the best house reef experiences we have had. We snorkelled 1–2 hours daily and saw turtles, sharks, many fish species and corals. The Watersports/diving team strongly discouraged snorkelling there. I understand as otherwise guests might not book paid snorkelling excursions, despite this reef being one of the resort’s biggest highlights.
• Water pool villas offer very good value compared to other resorts.
• All staff were extremely helpful, welcoming and always smiling.
• Outstanding service at the bars and main restaurant. With all-inclusive, we were served mocktails throughout the day at the pool bar.
• Excellent housekeeping, twice daily.
• I completed three dives with Aru, who was excellent. Despite his young age, he showed strong dive mastery
• WiFi was good
