2
Reach higher status with Status Points
Status Points help you reach higher status and earn even more discounts and benefits
3
Pay with Cash Points
Use Cash Points to pay for any stay booked on Halalbooking, saving real money
What are Status and Cash Points?
Status Points are credited to your membership account after your stay. Status Points you earn during the year help you reach a higher status and gain more benefits. You also earn Cash Points, which will be credited to your account after your stay in any accommodation booked on Halalbooking. They cannot be converted into real money but they can easily be spent on any stay booked on Halalbooking.
How can I use my Cash Points to book a stay?
At the final payment stage of a new booking, under Payment you will see options to spend your cash points and the final price will be reduced automatically.
How many Points do I earn when I book?
Gold members earn 1 Status Point and 1 Cash Point per $1 spent on stays. Platinum members earn 1.25 Status Points and 1.25 Cash Points per $1 spent. Diamond members earn 1.5 Status Points and 1.5 Cash Points per $1 spent.
How can I reach higher status?
You reach Platinum or Diamond status as soon as you have earned 3,000 or 10,000 Status Points within one calendar year.
How long is my new status valid?
The new status is valid for the remainder of the current calendar year and the whole of the following year.
Example
You start 2026 as GOLD and during 2026 earn 3,000 Status Points, you become PLATINUM for the rest of 2026 and for the whole of 2027. If you earn 10,000 Status Points within 2026, you become DIAMOND for the rest of 2026 and the whole of 2027 (and you are guaranteed at least PLATINUM for 2028 due to our SOFT LANDING rule - see below).
How else can I earn Cash Points?
You can also earn Cash Points by writing reviews.
Do Cash Points expire?
Cash Points never expire (as long as you sign in to your account at least once a year).
Where can I check my progress?
Check your membership profile screen to see how many Points you earned so far and how many more Points you need to reach the next status.

Renew your status
When you begin the year as Platinum or Diamond, it’s easier to renew than lose it and start again.
Earn to renew
Earn 3,000 Status Points in the current calendar year to renew Platinum status, or 10,000 to renew Diamond status into the next year.
Surplus Status Points rollover
Any extra Points earned from stays in the previous year roll over to the current year automatically.
Soft Landing
Diamond can be downgraded to Platinum only, never directly to Gold.
Why is renewing easier than reaching the same status again?
Platinum/Diamond members earn 25/50% more Status Points per $1 spent than Gold members, making it easier to accumulate the points needed for renewal. Plus, any Surplus Status Points earned in the previous year from stays only are rolled over to the current year to make it easier for you to renew. These are Status Points above the minimum required for your current status.
Please note, Surplus Status Points earned in the previous year are rolled over to the current year only and not to the next year.
Example
You started 2026 as PLATINUM, having earned 4,000 Status Points from stays in 2025. PLATINUM’s minimum requirement is 3,000 Status Points, so your 4,000 Status Points mean you earned 1,000 Surplus Points in 2025. These will be rolled over to 2026 making it easier for you to renew your PLATINUM status into 2027, because instead of the full 3,000 Status Points, in 2026 you only need to earn 2,000 additional Status Points. Also, earning these 2,000 Status Points is now easier for you in 2026 because, as a PLATINUM member, you earn 1.25 Status Points per $1 spent (unlike GOLD members who earn 1 Status Point). Therefore, a $1,600 (instead of $2,000) spend will earn you the 2,000 Points needed to renew your PLATINUM status into 2027.
What is the soft landing rule?
If you are a DIAMOND member in the current year but do not renew your DIAMOND status into the following year - your status will be downgraded the next year but only by one status level, i.e to PLATINUM, not to GOLD.
Can I buy extra Status Points?
Yes, you can buy them. If at the end of the calendar year you need a few extra Status Points to reach or renew your Platinum or Diamond status, you can buy extra Status Points during the month of December. Platinum members can buy up to 1,000 extra Status Points and Diamond members up to 2,000 extra Status Points. You can pay $0.20 for 1 Status Point, or spend 20 Cash Points for 1 Status Point. To buy extra Status Points please email hblc@halalbooking.com.
