Medhufushi Island Resort

Last-minute bookings are welcome; however, transfer arrangements will be confirmed based on availability at the time of booking.
The property can be reached by a shared speedboat, shared seaplane, or domestic flight.

Speedboat Transfers:
Duration : 2 hours 30 minutes ( subject to change based on weather and sea conditions and operational requirements)

ARRIVALS (MLE/Velana International Airport → Medhufushi)
• Boat 1 — 10:00  → International flight should arrive latest by 0845hrs
• Boat 2 — 13:30 → International flight should arrive latest by 1215hrs
• Boat 3 — 17:00 → International flight should arrive latest by 1600hrs

DEPARTURE (Medhufushi → MLE/Velana International Airport)
• Boat 1 — 06:00 → For international flights departing after 1100hrs
• Boat 2 — 09:00  → For international flights departing after 1400hrs
• Boat 3 — 15:00 → For international flights departing after 1930hrs

Departure timings are meticulously arranged by Projets (Speedboat provider), ensuring alignment with the first available boat and international flight schedules.

Transfer Guidelines:
• Baggage weight restrictions : No weight restrictions.
• Cut off time for arrivals: International flights arrive 01 hour prior to speedboat departure.
• Speedboat Check In cut off : 15 minutes before speedboat arrival.
• Maximum waiting time at the Airport : Up to the last guest arrival for the day.
• Time cut off to accept bookings/transfers : 96 hours (booking should be made 96 hours prior to arrival to guarantee the transfer) after this time frame, last minute upgrade charges will apply.
• The guests might be required to wait for 1-4 hours for the airport transfers.
• There will be no refund for unutilized / partially utilized services.
• The schedule is subject to change without prior notice in case of adverse weather alerts or any other emergency situation.

Seaplane transfer:

Seaplane transfer will be arranged according to your international flight timings, and will be combined with other guests. Please note that seaplane transfers operate between 06:00-15:00 hours only - if your international flight arrival is outside these hours we recommend you book an overnight accommodation in Male before continuing to the Resort the next morning. Seaplanes are forbidden to fly between 1800hrs – 0600hrs and therefore any guests arriving after 1500 hrs will need to overnight in the airport hotel or in Male’.

The sea planes have a maximum of 20kg per person luggage restriction – an excess luggage fee may be charged and is payable directly to Maldivian Air Taxi at check in.

Please find below our luggage allowance guidelines:
• Free Luggage allowance - 20 kg per passenger.
• Free Hand luggage - 05 kg per passenger.
• Maximum permissible weight for any single piece of luggage – 32 kg (any luggage weighing in excess of 32 kg will be required to be repacked before acceptance at check-in).
• Overweight luggage - you are welcome to carry additional luggage in excess of your free luggage allowance and understandably we charge USD$ 8/- per/kg for return trip and the luggage will be forwarded on the first available flight and may not be transported on the same flight as the passenger’s travel.

Route: Malé → Muli Airport → short boat transfer to resort
Flight Duration: Flight takes 45 minutes between Male’ and Muli airport and 10 minutes by boat between Medhufushi and Muli airport.

Schedule
• Flight Route 1: MLE → Muli (Medhufushi) 11:45–12:30 | Muli (Medhufushi) → MLE 06:25–07:10
• Flight Route 2: MLE → Muli (Medhufushi) 18:00–18:45 | Muli (Medhufushi) → MLE 13:10–15:10 (2 hrs / 1 stop)
• Flight Route 3: Muli (Medhufushi) → MLE 19:15–21:05 (2 hrs / 1 stop)

Guidelines
• Check-in for domestic flight closes 1 hour before departure
• International Arrival Cutoff: Flight 1 from airport to Medhufushi can accommodate international arrivals up to 09:15am, and for flight 02, the cutoff time for international flights to land is 15:30 (pm).
• International Departures: we can accommodate international departures from 09:30am onwards.
• Flight Route 02 & 03 includes a short stop on the way, but customers will not be required to leave the flight.
• Recommend international flights arrive/land 2h 30m or earlier in Velana airport AND for international departures from Male', that are 3 hours or after domestic flights land in Male.
• Lounge access (Moonimaa lounge by Maldivian): USD 26 per person for 2 hours — request in advance.
• Baggage weight restrictions: 20Kg checked in luggage + 5 kg hand luggage allowed.
• Cut off time to accept bookings: 96 hours (booking should be made 96 hours prior to arrival to guarantee the transfer).

GENERAL
• Guests must align international flight times with transfer schedules
• Hotel will not bear responsibility in case of missed transfers or upgrade charges due to mishandling of flight timings and must be paid as instructed by the hotel.
• Hotel will not bear responsibility in case of missed transfers or prolonged connection time due to late receipt of international flight details or not providing the flight details.
