This review relates mostly to Riad explore where we ended up - see next section. The two staff that we interacted with everyday were Lassan and Ayoub and they were both nice and helpful. As were all the other staff.
The rooms in Riad Explore are well equipped and clean and tidy, as are the on-suite toilet/shower. They can be a bit cramped compared to a hotel but this is part of the charm of staying in a Riad. The location of the Riad is perfect for the medina as you can walk to the main square in 5 minutes. You can also walk in the other direction for 5 minutes to reach the main road for pick-up to excursions. Just beware there is no lift or easy way to get the Riad if you need assistance. The Riad serves breakfast on the terrace and there are some great views of the city up there, although this is not great if it's cold or raining - Riad Africa is better in that respect. I think in terms of location and facilities Riad Explore is good value for money especially if they improve on the points I've raised in my next section.

I stayed here as a solo female traveller and overall experience was good. I loved the terrace where breakfast was served and watching sunset was great, peaceful atmosphere.
It is <10 min walk to the Jma El Fna square, <4 min walk to the Place Mellah.
I stayed in 2 different rooms: Basic Single Room was too small, just enough for the bed and bathroom.
Safari room was a normal size comfortable room. The lobby is as beautiful as shown in the pictures.
