How to make a group booking
When we talk about group bookings, although we might be referring to many individuals or couples travelling together with a group leader, more likely than not, at Halalbooking, we are referring to extended family groups or groups of friends holidaying together.
At Halalbooking we’re used to catering for these large extended family and friendship groups, so our unique system makes it easy for you to make group bookings for up to 10 families on our website or app.
How do I enter a group booking for more than one family?
When searching for rooms on Halalbooking for more than one family travelling together, you should include all guests from one household or family unit into the same ‘group’, making sure to enter the ages of any children. This makes sure that the system knows which people, within the party, would be happy to share the same large room/villa or connecting/adjacent rooms.
If everyone is happy to mix and share rooms as needed, then simply enter all of the party members as one group.
You do not need to work out how many rooms the group needs - our unique system will automatically do this for you and offer you all available options - both one large room and multi-room options - starting from the option with the lowest cost.
Example: Ali and Amara are travelling with their 3 children; also with them are Amara’s parents, Bilal and Bushra; and her brother Fatih and his wife Fatima and their 2 children.
Group #1 Ali and Amara and their 3 children
Group #2 Bilal and Bushra
Group #3 Fatih and Fatima and their 2 children
You need to enter each separate family unit as a separate group, i.e. separating those people who would definitely not want to share a room together.

For each ‘group’ on Halalbooking (which in this case means a family unit) our system will offer the choice of either 1 large room (if there is one available), or 2 or more smaller rooms, offering the possibility of connecting rooms or adjacent rooms where they exist. The system automatically provides as much choice and as much detailed information as possible, as we know that some families prefer it when the entire family unit (ie ‘group’) is all in the same room, others would prefer two connected or adjacent rooms. Also, sometimes multiple smaller rooms can be more cost-effective than one large room.
You can follow this same process for up to 10 groups - ie 10 individual family units, travelling together.

Room options for families
When a ‘group’ is a family with children, you will see the “Room options for families” filters on the hotel page, allowing you to choose whether to see all available room options or only those which provide “one room for your entire group” or only those which accommodate your group in “two or more rooms with connection/adjacency”.

How do I enter a group booking for more than 10 families, couples or individuals travelling together?
If you are booking for 11 ‘groups’ or more, then you will need the assistance of our dedicated group booking specialists. We can offer expert support to help you secure the best deals and the right accommodation for your group. Simply send your request to group@halalbooking.com and leave the rest to us. We’ll make sure you get timely updates and replies to any queries.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can the guest list be entered in one row (as a single group), or must it be divided into sub-groups within the same booking?
It depends on how flexible you are in terms of different group members staying together in one room (or connected/adjacent rooms). If all guests are entered in one row, as a single group, the system will automatically suggest the most cost-effective room splitting solution, which may involve guests sharing, who in fact, are not happy to do so. To ensure actual room-sharing preferences are taken into consideration, the guest list must be divided into separate groups (sub-groups) within the booking, otherwise our system cannot differentiate which guests would be happy to share one room, when it offers suitable room options.
What is the maximum number of rooms that can be included in a single booking?
The maximum number of separate groups (usually meaning one family unit; although it could be a couple or single person) which can be accommodated in our system is 10 groups - the system will allocate possible rooms for each group, so this may, in fact, mean that more than 10 rooms are booked in a single booking.
Is there a single rate which can be applied per person regardless of room type?
No, the rate usually varies according to room type. Once the groups are entered into the system, the system automatically displays the rates for the rooms which could accommodate the group.
What is the default bed layout per room type?
Rooms will be laid out as described in the room type options displayed for each group - where a hotel needs to supply additional beds or bedding, this will be requested along with the booking and is included in the total price displayed. Details of any additional charges for extra beds can be found either in the info section of the room type or under the ‘important notes’ section. These will also be on your booking confirmation. If you are selecting a non-refundable booking type, we recommend you check the exact additional fees prior to making a booking, in order to avoid any surprises by contacting group@halalbooking.com.
Can meeting or conference rooms be included in the group booking under Half Board (HB) or Full Board (FB)?
If you require a meeting or conference room to be included in your group booking, you should contact group@halalbooking.com with your request, prior to confirming the booking. This will be decided by the accommodation provider and we will assist you to make any necessary additional arrangements with the hotel.
Can you arrange excursions or guided tours for the group?
Unfortunately, we are not able to arrange excursions or guided tours for the group, however, we are able to arrange transfers to and from the local airport and your booked accommodation. Please contact group@halalbooking.com if airport transfers are not offered automatically after selecting your rooms.
What meal plans are available for groups (e.g., HB, FB, All-inclusive)?
Meal plans depend on the options available at your chosen accommodation. Usually, these will be listed on the available room types, which are shown on the hotel page in your search results.
Can you accommodate special dietary requirements besides halal?
This depends on the individual accommodation which you have chosen and can be sent as a special request at the time of booking.
What is the deposit and payment schedule for group bookings?
Payment terms may vary depending on the payment options which you choose when booking. Usually a variety of different payment and cancellation options are available, and prices may vary accordingly. For groups of more than 10 rooms, made through our group booking department, you will be given full details of payment schedules at the time of booking.
Are there cancellation or modification policies specific to groups?
There are no policies which are specific to groups, since they depend on the specific group arrangements as well as the policies applied by the particular accommodation chosen.
Can early check-in or late check-out be arranged?
Yes, this can be arranged subject to the approval of the chosen accommodation, but it may be subject to additional charges.
Is complimentary accommodation provided for the group leader or guide?
For groups of more than 10 rooms, requests can be made by emailing group@halalbooking.com with your request.
