The Riyadh–Dammam Railway
For pilgrims combining Riyadh with the Eastern Province, the Saudi Railway (SAR) line connects Riyadh to Dammam in 2 hr 30 min. Removes one airport transfer. Dammam station is in central Dammam; Al Khobar is 15 minutes south by road.

Al Ahsa Oasis: The World's Largest Date Palm Forest
Al Ahsa Oasis was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2018 — a cultural landscape of over 85 square kilometres, three million date palms irrigated by ancient artesian springs (some flowing continuously for over a thousand years), and traditional mud-brick villages that feel unlike anywhere else in the Arabian Peninsula.
